Hi folks,

Any suggestions on warming up the tone? My recordings tend to sound too digital. Especially if I plug a guitar directly into the unit and use the onboard effects. Otherwise I use 57s and 58s and mic everything and record dry. I'm just missing that warm natural tone somewhere in the mix. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have the BR 1180-CD. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have never recorded guitar using only the onboard effects, for just that reason. I've used a Pod, or a SansAmp when going direct, and they've been all right, but I prefer micing an amp.
