Hi Tony1959,you might get a few more answers if you post this in the VS2000 forum.If I understand your question correctly your track fxs disappear when you enter the Mastering room.
Generally, you would do the MIXDOWN first and then Master after.
1.If you MIXDOWN(Bounce) to a pair of open Vtracks(11/12v1 etc)then you have to use the EZrouting page to ROUT the tracks and the FXs(dragging the wires) to the sterio mixdown destination tracks (you selected) using the wires to print the Fxs .Then your track fxs are printed forever on the sterio mixdown.Now master the mixdown by entering the mastering room and select the mastering Fx you want and Bounce record the mixdown with the mastering Fx "INSERTED" on the mixdown to a open pair of tracks in the Mastering Room.
OR
2.If you MIXDOWN with Fxs inserted and looped on your tracks directly to mastering tracks in the mastering room you DO NOT need to use the Ezrouting and wires,the fxs are automatically printed when you mixdown(to the mastering room)! Use NON CDR mode when you mixdown to the mastering room then you can MOVE or Drag your NON CDR mixdown out of the mastering room to a pair of open V tracks and then Insert the Mastering Fxs on the mixdown and record bounce the mixdown back into the Mastering room with the master fxs(you selected) printed(Use CDR mode).You can mixdown and master in one step but I prefer to mixdown first and then tweek away to get the best master after.This does sound a little confusing but once you do it you will understand better and develope your own way.
