Recovery of a single partition

I was mixing with client today ,,, and the VS froze (while working on a VIRsDrive )

Did a reboot with the 2480 /virdis for 4 hours --- Virdis does recognize other 40 partitions /BUT can not load this clients work

any helpful idea ???

When first developing VirDIS we noticed the nasty 2480 habit of freezing when it did not get a looked-for response within a certain amount of time. This happened to be the DrvFmt of a VirDIS file larger than 1 or 2 Gigs. We fixed this with our PreFormat feature for files > 1GB. Your problem 'may' be related if your PC was engaged in OTHER background activity.

More details on this failure would be helpful:

- Size of VirDIS HDD file?
- PC background activity - e.g. Web surfing, antivirus running, etc.?
- HDD file for a partition or just one project?
- Target HDD file corrupted but 2480 IDE content OK?

1) The HDD file was 11gb ( our standard for a client )

2) Auto mixing a project at the time -- antivirus is always running

3) Complete partition has not been accessible

4) Only the target file of 11 gb == is corrupted ..all else accessible //

Have the hired musicians standing by -- may have to track half the clients project over

The average client will be recording 8/12 songs for a project -- that equals ~~ a VIRDIS HD of 11.1gb ..

Fingers-crossed that you might be able to access the PROJECT
