Has anyone got a PDF or something emailable of a list of effects on this card? I used to have a VS8f1 and there was one with that, but 2 I bought off ebay don't seem to have them.
Thanks for your response - unfortunately they're not located there.
I would have thought an effects list originally came with the effects card - I bought mine off ebay and there wasn't one with it and the seller didn't have one...maybe someone who bought the effects new knows...?
I'm not sure whether the original VS8f2 cards came packaged with the FX list and I don't have the original boxes and print that came with the ones I purchased back in 1998, so I can't check... Interesting to know that the VS8f1 came with a list. I bought the original 880 with the card already installed by the music store in 1996, so I never saw the packing materials.
At any rate, I've put together a few pages in a pdf for you to download if you like. There's two pdf docs: 1- the complete list of FX and their parameters (as found in the 1680 Appendices manual) and 2- a short list of the new FX parameters and the MTK fx list included with the V-Xpanded software update Roland sold sometime after the 1680 had already been out a while.
Use this link: VS8f2 Lists to download and save the zipped pdf files. The link will be up for a week or so at least.
I hope this helps. Having the documentation really comes in handy when you least expect it, so being a pac-rat isn't all that bad of a trait. _____________
Lest anyone be confused about the comments in this thread, as of Feb, 2011, the 1680 Appendices (VS-1680_AP) are indeed still listed in the manuals links under VS-1680 at http://www.rolandus.com/support/product_manuals/?group=8 Scroll down the alphabetical list until you see VS-1680.
By the way, anyone interested will also want to download the VS-1680_VXPAND_AD manual to find the list of MTK fx added with the V-Xpanded OS update.
does anyone know how to effective operate the noise supression of the vs8f-2 ? sometime i hear it work sometimes not. is the threshold based on db ? is the release seconds ? it seems backward. can someone please explain it ?
