This is my first post in this section. I should first ask - are there any other M200i users here? Hopefully Google will bring people since there are no Roland-sponsored forums for the M200i.

I'm using the REAC 2.0 Driver to interface the Roland M200i digital mixer with my computer running Sonar X2a Producer under Windows 7.

In Sonar's Preferences dialog, the ASIO Reported latencies are 240mS for Input and 720mS for Output. That's not a misprint - There is really that much delay - I can see it between the on-screen meters moving in Sonar and hearing the sound in the speakers.

Has anyone else used the REAC ASIO drivers with any DAW?

Following up as a word of warning to anyone who might consider an M200i as a recording mixer. Don't buy it! Although the specs talk about low latency on REAC, the playback latency really is 700mS with ASIO! It is completely unable to function in a studio setting where you record some tracks while playing others.

The M200i is ONLY for live recording (one pass) with no requirement for monitoring or simultaneous playback.

I got rid of the M200i for the PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 AI, which really is a recording mixer.

Really? Well, I assume those numbers will come down in the near future. But it really is and was intended as a live mixer. So high latency is probably intended to make any off the shelf computer ready for recording. And usually it would be laptops with usb2 equipped harddisks. SO in that case such a high latency would make sense...

I have my doubts that the latency numbers will improve in the REAC-based system. I've been using a REAC digital snake with Sonar 7 (the first version REAC worked with) for at least five years. I've never seen or heard of any updates to the system, let alone anything that would let me lower latency to something even remotely close to useable for live recording, with overdub session work.

Recording live events works great with the Sonar/REAC digital snake for sure...... the latency for even monitoring of the recording is absolutely useless, however. At least I have never been able to find a way to trim it down.
