People make music in 2015? Why bother?







Mostly, I'm done. Between the insistence on DR6 mastering....and the allergy to trained singers....the home recordings....intentional loFi chic.....the sound of digital manipulation....I simply don't care. Waste of time looking for new music. Better to look backwards for "new old stock" music I missed.

The Kevin Gilbert Nuts&Bolts collections, The Pages CDs I tracked down, and the Valerie Carter records have made up some huge percentage of my listening time this year. Lots of spinning old Toto records, too. Living in 77-82....and then Gilbert. So, 92-96? Before it all went to shit. #shitgrandpasays

I went and looked at more of the Circe Link videos. All of them have tight performances and good vocals but I soon tired of the musical theater , circus , quirkyness. It's good but doesn't speak to me past the excellence they deliver.
