Hello all, I searched for the answer to this question to no avail, although I feel it's GOT to be out there somewhere in the back pages!! Anyway...what I don't understand is this. I hear it's possible to put all 14 plugins on one VS8F-3 card. And you can only run two effects at a time from that card...is that right? If so, I'm guessing the advantage to having like two or three VS8F-3 cards is you can spread out the 14 effects over the two or three cards, and thereby run more effects at one time than would be possible with one card only?
Have I answered my own question here? Also...can you move the number of effects on each card around? Or are they "fixed" or "imprinted" on that card forever. Reason I ask..If I were to buy ONE VS8F-3 card with all the plugins, and later on bought another VS8F-3 card, could I move some of the effects over to that card? Or do I have to buy the plugins again for the newer card I bought.
To further muddy the waters, I noticed some sellers of VS8F-3 cards on Ebay state they have "7" effects, and they are counting the 5 or so that come with the one Roland VS plugin, and perhaps one other separate plugin. Seems to me some plugins have multiple effects.
What I'm seeing on Ebay are usually bundled effects. If I wanted just one or two particular ones, I guess that would be difficult? Appreciate any insight into this. I can't seem to grasp what's possible and what's not through my readings....and I am gearing up and researching to buy VS8F-3 effects and a VS 2480...or 2400 with only 2 slots but half the price...
SO MANY questions here...my apologies if any of these have been answered in the past, but I truly couldn't find them in my search of past postings. Thanks for any help. Cheers!!
