that's happened to me before - long time ago. In my case, it was a false positive and probably popped up suddenly as a result of a virus definitions update. I don't recall which antivirus program I was using. I also ran into a situation where my antivirus would actually delete a file from one of my zipped VS tools (cd2roland, or vswe - I don't remember now - it happened every time I downloaded or copied the folder to that computer, no matter what my settings. I finally gave up in that case. In fact, it might be on the pc I'm on right now and it may be ms security essentials, in that case.

I'm not saying that this is YOUR case, but you can find numerous mentions of the whole false positive reporting on the Planet forums. I don't know if you can write to Norton and have them check and verify that the cd2roland files are not viruses and that they would then update their program to exclude the file being tagged. It may be worth your time to check into that possibility. At least then, if they're willing to download a copy of the file and check it out for themselves, they can confirm that it is or is not clean.

You could also try a different antivirus program and see what it reports.... again, this would be totally up to you. Your best bet might be to take the computer offline that you want to use cd2roland on and uninstall antivirus, or disable it at least.

If your computer has suffered a virus attack in the recent past, it might be worth your effort to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the os and programs, which should also help to verify whether or not your copy of cd2roland has been altered.... I can't see it happening, but I don't know much about viruses anyway.

i quarantined it. cd2roland.exe is the only program i use from the command prompt like it meant to be used. maybe that makes it complicated to norton antivirus. ive had some real security issues lately on my computer that have nothing to do with this file. this really happened to me yesterday and i dont mean to stir up trouble here on the forum. thanks for your help !
