I've got an 880 but decided to upgrade to a 880EX. After missing out on a new in box one on eBay because I hesitated to Buy It Now, which gutted me, I recently bought one from Japan. It should be here in a couplafew days.
From reading past posts on here, I understand that the VS power supply is auto switching for input voltage. To confirm this for myself, I consulted the service manual and, indeed, there was only 1 part number for the power supply board but 3 for the supplied kettle lead, one for each of the 117, 230 and 240 volt geographical areas. HOWEVER, Japan is of course on 100v and there wasn't a lead part number listed for that. This got me wondering, since they were made in Japan, perhaps the domestic market ones had a 100v supply?
So, is there anyone here who has imported from Japan and can confirm that they accept 230/240v? Maybe post a pic of the power supply board, if you have one? It's being sent with an adaptor anyway, but obvs I'd rather cut that out and run straight in if poss.
