I am from China. I bought a second-hand 2400 some time ago. It was normal to use it for 2 days. When I started to press F1-F6 several times, there was a crackling sound. The sound persisted. I turned it off and turned it on again. It exists, and then I found it here and looked for a related post, saying to replace the capacitor, so I bought 100uf 16V and 330uf to replace it, and now all the new capacitors have been replaced on the motherboard, but the problem still hears the crackling sound, I am very helpless. This sound appears in AUX MST and DIR. After the main fader is turned off, there is no lute sound, but the screen can still see the crackling sound of AUX MST and DIR. Even if all the capacitors are replaced, it still exists. Could it be a problem with the internal chip of my motherboard? ? Or the power supply? Or hard drive? I'm too bad, hope someone can give some suggestions here. Thanks! (I use google to translate, I can’t speak English, please forgive me!) https://photos.app.goo.gl/CtuBodLHYnSVGuoFA

I thought it was an hdd problem, so I replaced the ssd and it was able to read and format successfully, but a more serious problem came, the system control was delayed. When I changed back to the original hard drive, it was still delayed. My machine was replaced. Is the capacitor wrong? Or are there other issues, such as power supply? I really want to repair my 2400, and hope to give some suggestions, thank you!

Nine (or more) times out of ten, the issue is ageing capacitors. But, while you‘re in there, check for other (obvious) signs of damaged components.

I replaced it with a better capacitor again. On the motherboard, now a more serious problem is coming. The whole system is slow. The previous self-check is no problem. Now the self-test is DSP. 111 has three codes, namely IC56.57.58. Bad luck. . .

After a while, I bought a VS2400 motherboard from Australia from eBay. I thought it was broken, but after receiving the replacement, it worked normally. I don’t know how long it will last, but it solves the problem.

Hello, I'm French and I don't speak English. I encountered this problem, my VS no longer wanted to work. The test defaulted the IC52 component on the main board. I replaced it and it reworked for 2 years. I suspect a leg welding problem. On the other hand, I recently had a problem with audio output. So I'm going to replace the 100uf 6.3v capacitors. I will keep you informed of the operation.
