A gem from the birth of jazz era as done by an acoustic string band.
Written Gus Kahn, Isham Jones 1924
The body of my banjo (Gibson RB3) was made in 1926. It's what is known as a conversion - having come out of the factory as a tenor and with the neck swapped out for a 5 string later. The neck was probably made by a fine Toronto luthier named Bruce Dowd. I was in his place once and he was just finishing a left handed 5 string neck.
Anyway, being made in 1926, I'd like to think that this is not the first time that this tune and the others that I've been posting from that era have been played on it.
