Hi, I hope someone can help. When I boot up my Roland, it loads project and the project will start playing by itself. Then there is no way it will stop, and I have to switch off without shutting down. The hard drive has been replaced, but it did the same with the old drive. I'm thinking maybe there was nothing wrong with the old drive. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Do you have headphones plugged into the footswitch jack?

No, I just went to make sure, although I do have a footswitch, but not plugged in, went to see if I had plugged something else in there. Nothing was plugged in at the footswitch jack, but I took a jack plug, and stuck it in and out a few times, thinking maybe there's dust/moisture that could be a trigger, and turned the Roland on, and it's not doing that anymore. Will do a small bit of recording today, save the project, and shutdown and restart and if it doesn't do that again, it was probably the problem. Will let you know, thanks, I'm sure that was it.

Yup, it worked, I recorded and saved a project, and restarted, and it's not setting off playing by itself now. Your suggestion made me look at the jack input and that's what caused the problem. Thanks, and cheers!!

Most excellent. Good that it was so simple.
