I am sure Brady is glad he gave up his family to have his first losing record and get bounced in 1st round.

Brady wants to get to 100,000 passing yards so that no one will even think about catching him.

With a pass happy league, expanded schedules, and improved training/conditioning, someone probably will eventually. It's a lot to give up to be 2nd. 😂

I doubt anyone will catch his number of Super Bowls though, so his legacy was already secure, even before Tampa Bay.

Poor guy. That was uh.... brutal.

At least he made that last one.

And it's a shame - because the guy has been great up to last night. 🙄

Depends on how he does moving forward this post season. Anyone can have a bad game.
Fortunately for him the Cowboys dominated. But one more like that this post season and poof! See ya!

I'm just hoping Josh Allen is gonna dial it down against the Bengles. It helped him cut back the turnovers.

I bet you would

I'd rather see the Bills go up against the Cowboys this season instead of the 49ers or the Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Well sure, I'd like to see the Phillies and the 76ers in the Superbowl, but that isn't going to happen either. (sorry Dave, I couldn't help myself )

I don't think the Eagles will make it either. They'll beat the Giants, can beat the Cowgirls but that's hardly a given, but won't beat the 49ers.

And if Hurts isn't himself, they'll be in for a fight against the Giants. The Giants aren't that good, but the Eagles aren't exactly a machine without the threat of Hurts and what they did this season when he was at his best.

Or more so, one particular linebacker who will be in his grill the entire game...or at least it will seem that way to him.

Bills offensive line definitely needs to step up. So how's the Eagles pass rush compared to the Dolphins?

Overall pass rush? Eagles had 70 sacks this season.
The most sacks ever was the Bears at 72, but in a 16 game season.

The bengals are way down on the list at 30. I wonder how the last game wouldve turned out. It was pretty even until they stopped it. Bengals had a little more passing yards, but Bills had more rushing yards. It's been like 3 years since they played last and both teams have different lineups now. So, no telling how 4 quarters would be. Up until last week, the bills started to perform better the 2nd 1/2 too.

New England have more sacks than miami, but the NE game was an easier win. They had their starting QB too. Almost makes me think the Miami game was staged, the Bills were so bad.

Well, it's not all about sacks or any other single area/stat/metric.
The best teams are balanced and may excel in an area or two.

As far as sacks, the Bills were one of the best at not giving up many. The Eagles were middle of the pack, though their differential was still very good. The bottom line for a defense is keeping points off the boards, no matter how you do it.

A team might not give up a ton of yards but be bad in the red zone and give up points. Conversely, another team might give up more yards but be good in the red zone and not give up many points. Another team might be in the middle of the pack but have a lot of take-aways, which is extremely important, on both sides of the ball.

Then there is run offense and defense, so it's not all about the passing game, of course.

Funny how you said the Bills O-line has to step up but they're one of the best at not giving up sacks. In Philly, we believe we have one of the best O-lines but we're middle of the pack at giving up sacks. Of course, stats, any stats, can be skewed, such as with a running QB giving up more sacks, a more run heavy offense giving up less, etc.

In Philly, we've been on D-coordinator Jonathon Gannon all year, with lots of fans calling for him to be let go. Yet, the Birds defense gave up LESS than one yard per game more than the 49ers this season (and Washington was only 3 yards more than that).

That's because in Philly, we like the defense to be one that ATTACKS, like Buddy Ryan, Bud Carson, and Jimmy Johnson's of the past. But Gannon's gave up less yards and got more sacks than ANY of them. And lots of that yardage given up was after many of the games were decided in the 1st half and he went into a prevent defense....and therein lies the rub: his D played lots of zone and we HATE the zone and giving up yardage. The Philly fans want the team to be in attack mode constantly, even if it means making mistakes, giving up big plays, and more points. That's because they feel that style reflects who we are as a city, and it does.

Of course, Gannon will be a head coach somewhere next year, so the fans will get their wish for him to be replaced.

Regarding stats and skewing: As noted above, SF and the Eagles gave up nearly an identical number of yards per game, yes SF is considered to have the best D. That's because SF was best at giving up the least # of points this year at 16.3 The Eagles weren't far off at 20.2...but that's a score+ per game. Was it because SF was better in the red zone? Gave up fewer big plays? Had more take-aways? Or was it because the Eagles got up early and got up big and wasn't as concerned about giving up points in the 2nd half of games. Beyond the stats, I can tell you that the Eagles did just that, shutting down teams early and seemingly taking their foot off of the gas both defensively AND offensively. They were only 1 point per game behind KC offensively, that despite not scoring at all in the 2nd half of some games, or scoring much less than the 1st half as they seemed to coast.

Had the Eagles kept their foot on the gas on both sides of the ball in every game, I think it's a pretty good bet they would have had the highest rated offense and defense, both in yards, yards allowed, yards per game, and points per game.

They mostly got away with it, but that's something that concerned me all year. Football, more than any other team sport, IMHO, is a game of momentum...both within each game and from game to game. And he who peaks at the right time, wins in the post season. The Eagles didn't peak at the right time. It doesn't matter if it was due to injury, the bottom line is that they didn't.

Anyway, just my $0.02.

(Damn, just notice my post got screwed....I'm gonna try to fix it...nah, I can't...it is what it is)

I know there are a lot of variables. But it seems like Allen always goes for the hail mary when the defense puts too much pressure on him. In the most recent game especially, he hardly takes what the defense gives him. He passed up a lot of easy opportunities. 2 very good running backs are under utilized too. At first, I thought Singletary wasn't any good. But when the ball finally made it in his hands a few times, my opinion changed.

I agree momentum is crucial. It's hard to get it back when you lose it.

The Eagles may lose both Gannon and their offensive coordinator who is interviewing for head coach of 3 teams.

I can understand the frustration. More than anything Hurts did this year, he didn't force things, and wound up playing the most mistake free football I have personally ever seen by any quarterback over an entire season. But Allen has a little bit of Favre in him. Can't be that way and get to and win the big one...or it's rare.

Absolutely is. it could be for the rest of one game, which can lead into the next, and the next thing you know, you're done.

Yeah Al, the Eagles my very well lose both. That's what comes with success. Watch Reich get hired as the O-coordinator.

I forgot about Kotite. He coached the Eagles when the Bills were in the SB those 4 years. Saturday is a long way from being as good as Kotite
