Note to self:
Bet against Thad's predictions.
Well.....that will work half of the time......historically.....my betting history is 50/50! If you look up 'Even Steven' in the dictionary.....you will see my picture! I went to Vegas once with $100.....I played poker for 14 hours straight.....I was up...I was down....I was up I was down.....I came home with the same $100 I had when I arrived.
One football season I put a $250 deposit with a bookie who was a friend of a friend and I bet 3 to 5 games a week for the entire regular season (65 to 75 games total)....I was up...I was down....I was up I was down.....I ended the season cashing out $255......
So.....the moral of the story is.......if you bet me every time....you will win/lose half of the time.....
They were all dropping passes, that had to be flukey.
yeah I have Skye Moore in one of my leagues and I won't be starting him again for a long time. Toney is unreliable most of the time, except for making 2 huge plays to beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl!

I'll say this.....the last game he played prior to this one (the Superbowl) would not have been won without him.........
It is my understanding that Andy kept more receivers on the roster this year than ever before because he believes they are good enough.....It is hard for me to doubt a 2 time Superbowl winning coach and his staff.....I believe we will be okay in the end.....
All of that being said....all of our receivers had a bad night....on the night......which is crazy rare imo......and on the same night that our top receiver (Kelce) was out (he has not missed a game due to injury since his rookie season in 2013)....imo....that was our fluke loss....(like Indy last year).....and moving forward......I expect us to be much better!!!!!
Toney and Moore will both end up having great seasons (imo).....but regarding fantasy....I would not count on any Chief receiver or running back.....Mahomes and Kelce are the only 2 offensive players that will have any consistency......because Mahomes is going to be like Brady in the past and from game to game.....the receivers or running backs are going to have huge games and shitty games.....depending on t he day.

That pick 6 was not only all him (and cost the Chiefs the game), but he looked lazy and indifferent, not only to catching the ball, but once it bounced off of his hands. If I were the HC, that would never fly with me. He'd have to change that right away and completely. Injury or no injury, he was healthy and on the field, the effort should have been there. Besides, it's not like he just started playing football (and the pass wasn't exactly lasered to him). Just my 2 cents, of course.

Toney's injury history pretty much dictates that he'll be lucky to be on the field for 5 or 6 games.

I have trust in Mahomes.....and he has trust in Toney.....
My god that was a tough game but the Birds won. The Pats played great. Turns out they had a great draft and got huge contributions from a bunch of rookies, I thought they would finish last but they may win the AFC East.
Any win in the NFL is a fucking miracle, and that's why it's the NFL. Did you see all the upsets today. Cleveland crushed Cincy. Rams wiped out the Seahawks. Shitty Tampa Bay won, a shocker. Even the lowly Cardinals were ahead til the end.

"Your Overlords Crushes The Quarter Pounders in Week 1
In a shocking turn of events, Your Overlords dominated The Quarter Pounders in Week 1 of the Indieland. With a score of 164.50, Your Overlords proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. The Quarter Pounders, on the other hand, could only muster a measly 146.96. Looks like The Quarter Pounders's C-grade wasn't enough to secure the win.
The Quarter Pounders's best player, Michael Pittman Jr., managed to exceed expectations and scored 15.35 points, beating their projection of 6.54. However, their worst player, Josh Allen, fell way short of their 20.00 projection, only scoring 6.90 points. On Your Overlords, Nick Folk shined bright with 18.00 points, surpassing their projection of 7.69. Unfortunately, Antonio Gibson couldn't live up to their 9.27 projection and only scored a dismal 0.25 points.
With this win, Your Overlords starts the season strong with a record of 1-0-0 and sits comfortably at the top of the standings. The Quarter Pounders, on the other hand, falls to 0-1-0 and is currently sitting at the 7th spot. Looks like Your Overlords is the team to beat this season, while The Quarter Pounders has some work to do to climb up the ranks.
Looking ahead to next week, The Quarter Pounders will face off against Bring Back Hard Hits. The Quarter Pounders needs to step up their game if they want to stand a chance against their upcoming opponent. As for Your Overlords, they will be going head-to-head with The Pickled Egg Gang. With their strong performance this week, Your Overlords should feel confident going into the matchup. Keep up the good work, Your Overlords!"

well they still haven't gotten the passing going but the Viqueens could literally not stop their running attack at all which was encouraging. I don't know if anyone will be able to.
2-0, that's all that matters.

I mostly agree, Al.
The Eagles seem to be showing some signs from all of the turnover of personnel (players/coaches) and aren't in a groove yet. That said, the sign of a good team is winning when they're not at their best, which they are doing. They've been killing it in the turnover department, and their running was stunning this week - Swift looks PERFECT running behind this line...great vision, patience to follow the excellent blocking, and damn...he's explosive when he gets a hole....like a dart.
Devonte Smith is looking like he's gonna be difficult to keep up with, and AJ Brown will get his chances and have his games - he's a flat out all pro level WR (as is Smith now, IMHO).
The youngsters on defense look like they're gonna be everything we thought they could be and more. The defense isn't in a groove yet either, but I think that's coming too. And again, damn....it looks like those youngsters could be downright great.
And Al, don't you just love how they can't be stopped in short yardage situations with their "push"? There's never been anything like it, thanks to Hurts, the line, the coaching, and Sirianni's downright ballsiness. Pure Philly.
