Hello All! Been a while...back at the studio and we have a lovely Hairball Audio 1176 that a good friend built for us. I'm just routing it up and have a question:
Can I take the output of the 1176 which is XLR and take it into one of the 1/4 inch (3,4,5) channels?
As you know, the 1176 is a one channel compressor. What I will be doing is taking my microphone into my Sytek preamp > 1176 > VS1680.
My two XLRs channel 1 and 2 are occupied with drum overhead mics and I want to use the 1176 for the bass drum mic into one of the 1/4 inch channels.
Is it as simple as getting an XLR to 1/4 cord? So I need something else? I don't want to fry anything!
TIA for any wisdom you may be able to provide!
Happy NY from SW Michigan!
