So, I took my -3 card out of my 2400 and put it in slot C of my 2480. Everything works as it should, my plug in. a leveler, on the -3 card that came out of the 2400 doesn't show up.
The plug ins that are on the -3 card that came with the 2480 (key card) shows the plug ins that it has, but not the plug in that was on the 2400 -3 card.
Does that sound normal. Are all the plug ins loaded on just the key card? (Slot A)
I have the back up disk for the missing plug in, but I believe it will always be tied to the -3 I have in slot C

Hi. That's normal. Only the plugins that are authorized to the KeyCard in slot A can be used, and used by another 3-card in slot B .... ( and C , D if you have more 3-cards )
If you change and put your "2400-card" in slot A, only the plugins tied to that card can be used (on both cards). And only if you have the plugins backed up and re-installed on the 2480 Hard Drive. I think, but nit sure, that first 3-cards plugins have to be removed from HD before second 3-card can be installed and work properly ...
Had some issues with that many years ago when I exchanged some 3-cards between two of my 2480's .....

Cheers !

That's what I thought. I never used the plug in on the 2400 card, so no big deal. And the original -3 card has a limiter as well. Different model, but I checked it out and it works fine.

Thanks Cat
