I picked up a VS2400 at a very good price. Faders and controls not working, and crackling on the outputs. It would play back recorded tracks but with distortion and crackling. I fixed the problems that the previous person had created by trying to 'fix' it, ie the fader multistrip connector reversed etc. So Faders and controls all working OK. Same crackling and distortion etc, so I replaced all the electrolytics on the main PCB. Now the crackling has gone but the routing/inputs and outputs are silent and I can't see any input on the meters but the clip light comes on when a mic is scratched. So the Analog board seems to work, and most of the digital seems to work (ie Hard Drive, display, boot up etc all good). Looking at the input/track display there is no metering, the fader goes up and down etc and the clip light works, but nothing on the meters, monitors, headphones or aux outputs. I replaced the caps in the PSU (there seemed to be a lot of switcher noise on the PSU, but the main PCB supplies look OK. I re-installed the software and re-formatted the drive. I am suspecting the main PCB. Does anyone have any suggestions or a VS2400 main board they would like to part with?

I need to replace a VS-2400CD main digital PCB. Interested to buy a VS2400CD that may have problems with faders, controls etc, as long as the Digital PCB is working.

Just a question: Have you reinitialized all parameters, routing and mixer settings?
