I'm looking for ways to move wav files from my VS to my Mac. The ZuluSCSI one looks good and I couldn't find it mentioned here.

it's an SCSI to SD Card adapter all-in-one box that connects to the SCSI port outside, so it doesn't require any modifications of the VS.

Has anyone tried it?

I've use SCSI2SD for several years. It works fine. I've been looking at the Zulu for another VS.

Don't know about the Zulu, but SCSI2SD requires a one-time config.

I have one I use for my MPC 2000. I believe I used it on my VS (another SD card) to back up song files.

Has anyone used this Zulu SCSI RP2040?
It is a cheaper & newer version, though not as fast as the SCSI2SD v6, apparently.

1) Has anyone here tried it?
2) Does it require a power source to work, or is the SCSI enough?
3) The DE distributor's website is inaccessible (https://studio-services.de/), does anyone have a good provider in Europe?
4) I'm happy to buy a used one if someone has one for sale.
Thx

Yesterday i received the ZuluSCSI RP2040 Mini, from http://www.studio-services.de

I had to order via Android, couldn't access them via PC.

Works well on my VS-2480CD. Gets its power from the SCSI.
Appears as SCSI1, like an external HD would. Simply select that drive, quick format, done : 9 partitions of 11,5 GB each.
Definitely not seen as a CDR as per some comments below. I would bet money that you CAN record to this, and up to 16 tracks at once, which is the 2480's limitation too i believe.

Tested on demo track Seems So Right (16 tracks), works fine (copied the project over from my internal SSD).

Using a 128 GB microSD in this ZuluSCSI. Got a fast one, but in theory any slow-arsed card should suffice.

Haven't tried the card on the PC yet.

They say the transfer rate won't allow 24 tracks to be written simultaneously, you'd need a v6 SCSI2SD for that. Doesn't matter, i believe the 2480 cannot anyway either and i have an internal SSD anyway, this is just for quick backup/transfer to PC.
Curious to see if it can read 24 tracks...will test later & update.

Just for the record, I received my ZuluSCI some time ago and I've been happyly using on my Roland VS1680. There was a learning curve to get it up and running. I'll try to describe it here for further reference (and in case I forget).

- First I formatted the SD card on my iMac, with FAT32 filesystem.
- Using the app "Disk Jockey" I created a 1GB iso image called HD1.iso
- Duplicated this file 5 times to get HD1.iso to HD5.iso
- Copied them to the SD card
- Ejected the sd card, placed it in my ZuluSCI, plugged it into the Roland VS1680 SCSCI port and turned the VS on
- The SCSI device was detected with 6 partitions
- In order to copy the songs I had already recorded on my VS, I used the "Song Copy Playable" function
- Once the songs were copied, turned the VS off, took the microSD card out of the ZuluSCSI and put it in my USB reader on my iMac
- Opened up a virtualbox windows XP virtual machine I had already set up, were I had copied the 'VS Wave Exporter' utility software and configured it with an 'Export' shared folder to share files between the virtualbox windows and the iMac's OS X
- In Windows, opened the VS Wave Export.exe file with double click, showing the app but was not listing any devices
- Dragged and Dropped the HD1.iso to the white area of the VS Wave Exporter app, this made it show a list of partitions, and each partition a list of Songs
- Chose a song and selected the Virtual Tracks to export from the right panel then clicked Export
- WAV files are now in the Export shared directory, accessible from my iMac's OS X
