I've got it going on uploading a back up, sending it over the internet with WeTransfer (big files) and restoring it. ONE question: Let me preface it to say that I agree about being DAMN careful and do it just exactly how the manual says. Don't want any corrupted files or major problems with my VS2000CD. Having said that, here's my question: Once I've terminated my connection between the two (drag all 4 VS2000 icons into the trash ... no need to empty trash, by the way) .... CAN I LEAVE THE USB CABLE CONNECTED and go about my merry way without worry? I'd like to try that, but do NOT feel at all comfortable giving it a shot. Me thinks the VS2000 likes to FIND and CONNECT each individual time you want to work like that. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a born paranoid. If anybody has any experience with having done this, please advise. Matter of fact, please advise if you have ANYTHING to say about this. Even "DON'T DO IT". Thanks. -Furry-

Hi Furry,

Just noticed your post.

I was worried about "drag all 4 VS2000 icons into the trash" - until I realised you use a MAC - as I have no idea what would happen if that was done on a PC!.

As for the USB cable being left connected, I expect you will have tested that by now by starting the VS2000cd while connected to the MAC. I expect nothing would happen as the VS2000cd needs to be in USB 'mode' in order to communicate with the host computer.
