NEEDING CONFIRMATION: When making/printing a master mix on my VS2000CD should I do it only after I've tweaked the mix via automix .... then ... burn that automated mix via the mastering room to 2 of the 16 stereo Mastering v tracks that are offered? During this mix can I manually use the Red Master Fader to fade the final mix or do I need to do that in auto mix? Last thing to verify is that I add any MASTERING inserts ONLY when I'm burning the CD. Does all that sound correct? I have been thinking I need to mix it down to 2 regular v tracks (i.e. 15/16) and then play that back (inserting mastering effects) when I want to make mastering tracks. THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT WAY, me thinks. What brought me to this conclusion was when I tried using the Bounce or Mixing Factory templates ... the FADE OUT doesn't work. Fade within auto mix parameters, yes?Not physical Red Master Fader? Foxed me on that deal. Think I understand now, but figured I'd throw myself under the bus with you guys as you all seem to understand ignorance pretty well. ha. Would love to have some confirmation about this or any reply, actually. To simplify, I guess I need someone to tell me the real way to mix, master and when to insert mastering effects if needed. Thinking I finally figured it out, but want some of your input. Thanks. -Furry-
