Are the two projects in the same partition ?
Otherwise it's not possible .... If I remember right

If you have the "big" manual look at page 269 \:\)

Cheers !

Okey, I will try explain how it is done .....
First open the project where the track you want to copy is.
Remember / write down witch track it is.
Open the project to witch you want to import the track to.
Click "TRACK" in top meny and open TRACK IMPORT.
Windows "Track Import" opens and a list of projects appear.
Click or Scroll with Jog Wheel to the project you want to import from.
Press / click F5 "SELECT". New window opens with two columns.
Scroll the "SOURCE" list with the BLACK "header" to the
track number / name ("Guitar" or whatever) you want to import.
Click the column "DESTINATION" header so it turns black.
Scroll down to the track number you want the imported track to end up on,
preferably an empty track .....
Press F5 "OK" and it starts to transfer the track.
Repeat everything if there's more tracks to export / import.

I don't remember how the tracks line up time-wise, but i believe
they start from zero ......

If the track contains different parts you don't want to import, you can use the "SPLIT"
function and erase those parts from the IMPORTED track.

Cheers !

I have ALL of the manuals in pdf. If someone would like to host it somewhere, (dropbox, github, etc), I'm happy to pass 'em on for everyone. All the instructions for pluggin' it in to mastering your stereo mix are here.

User's Guide
Appendices
Addendum v2
Phrase Pad Guide
Mixer Block Diagram
Service Notes first edition
VS8F-3 Owner's Manual, Patch List, Mastering the Mastering Tool Kit
VS-2480 Track Sheets, Dynamics Sheets, EQ templates
A couple of updates and other stuff.
