Greetings:

Is there any way to invert a track phase on the VS880? I can't find anything in the manual, so am asking the source of All things VS for the answer.

Thanks in advance.

The original 880 has no phase invert mixer control.
There was no phase switch in a VS until the 1680 and a larger mixer display, with all parameters shown on one screen (as opposed to scrolling left to right through a row of parameters).

If it's any consolation, with the ability to convert your VS data into WAV stems using FunkyBeats' method (https://www.vsplanet.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=13241#Post13241), you could always bring your tracks over to your PC and mess with it in just about any PC DAW.

This has been my SOP for years. It works great. I was just curious as to whether M/S could be heard live.

Just did OCR to my VS880EX pdf manual. On the EX, it works. In the 'CH Edit (Select)', you can select 'Phase' and set it to INV or NRM. Did a search on my 'yugo' VS880 manual and did neither find NRBM or INV, so it seems as if this feature was added to the EX. Did not search my VXexpanded manual, but I assume, that this has been added starting with the EX, as the whole architecture seems a little different. I think I remember some M/S games together with the VS8F1, but I may as well be wrong...

P.S.: it seems to me, that this only works when sending a channel to an output and reinputting it (afaik, only the input channels had this possibility...)

Just thought of creating a cable that switches tip and sleeve but I assume that would toast the machine, as the GNDs are probably connected...
