Hey everyone, I have a 2480 and am looking for instructions on how to bounce tracks with effects. The manual says how to bounce but doesn't explain how to bounce with effects. I am only using the physical unit and not with a mouse/keyboard/screen. Thanks!

When bouncing tracks you're in EZ ROUTING view.
There's a "FX" block in lower right corner (?) I use VGA screen, so I'm guessing here ...

Click on the number / channel return that contains the effect
you want to bounce and turn the JogWheel and move the virtual cable
to the channel in the "TRACK MIX" block to witch you bounce the "dry"
track. That track should be armed for recording of course ...
Adjust the FX return fader and the dry track fader to get the right balance
of the two and do a "test recording" : )

I think you have to "pair" 2 Rec. channels if you want stereo FX recorded ....

( This is from memory only, I'm not at my VS's right now, so I might have
missed something in the "description" ) : /

Cheers!

Looks like Catweazle has got you covered. Pg 59 in the User's Guide describes it in pretty deep detail with pictures and stuff. I'm using the free Adobe pdf reader and it won't let me copy it and paste it here for some reason and I'm too lazy to type it out.

If you're planning to create a stereo track (e.g. for use as a stem) you might also use the Mastering Room to bounce to that stereo pair and afterwards copy to other tracks. Just be sure not to bounce to CD mode tracks.
