This is a link to a project I've been working on called USER WORKING METHODS based on the VGA monitor for the VS2000CD. PDFs with screen shots to be viewed, and or downloaded. I shrink in comparison to the fine work Frank Griffith did concerning the VS2480. My offering is a user friendly approach to give users that have one of these machines a way of avoiding the 'GLOSS OVER" effect the manual has on one. So much info in there. This is more of a way to just GET STARTED. Get to the fun part, so to speak. To that end I'm pretty happy with these. Like Frank, I will be updating these files from time to time. Enjoy.

This file (USER WORKING METHODS) is a file for those of you using a VGA monitor and maybe a tube pre-amp with your VS2000CD unit. I make reference to ART pre amps and how to use them with your VS2000CD. If you don't use pre amps this can still be useful to you if you have one of these old units and just can't seem to figure out how to record with it. Basic stuff that uses pictures to help you. Also referenced in this tutorial is that a LOT of older units have a bad fader. #1 fader is the most common, so I have used this premise in avoiding using #1 fader AND initially avoiding recording on track #1 because of it. It starts with a mic plugged into iNPUT #1, but routed to track #3 for recording. Sounds convoluted, but I have my reasons. In fact I offer work arounds for these and other problems. I will try to put together another version of this file that deals strictly with the basics: No preamps and all faders work. I hope you enjoy what I've put together. -Furry-
