Well through a friend I found a tech at the State University Engineering Dept. who got my VS2480 up and running again. We replaced all of the capacitors on the Main Board with original surface mounts and the 22.000 ohm axial. After watching the process, I'm now going to tackle the extra motherboard I have the same way. The secret for success is FLUX and a quick iron at 370 degrees centigrade. Right now I'm euphoric!
