WITH the free return policy @ Amazon -- buy & return if it takes to long to get it up and running ///Got a DVD external now --to load up my Adobe OEM CS software...Give a a whirl for week /// if not compatible with my required uses > box it back :-)

Which model do we need that might work ?? Of the two suggested here >?
It looks like our scanner will work -- just have to get CS 4 to "talk"

The main differences in the two computers:
UM780 xtx has a faster processor, ssd is pcie4 vs pcie3 (2x as fast), better onboard graphics, RAM is ddr5 vs ddr4, $80 more.
The onboard graphics card is literally more than 100s of times better than the old card you're using: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/ATI-Radeon-HD-4550-vs-AMD-Radeon-780M/m8944vsm2088874
Both are an upgrade, good recommendations, and good cost/performance.
Nobody can tell you which one to get.

Been reading that there have been some problems with WIN 11 booting right up with the MINI PC -- Will give it a chance ---OR send it right back ...one has to work :-)

That's the one that you ordered?
The UM780 xtx would have been better, particularly for the graphics, but with the $100 off, that is an AMAZING price for a very good computer.

Remember you can install another internal 3.5" say, 2TB SSD if you want to. It's really easy to do (4 small screws to take off the baseplate slide in your SSD and screw the bass plate back on)

Thanks ALAN --I did read that these MINIS are expandable
Had too many crashes -- I use externals -- even a TB is frightening on a internal.. I have a 6 drive hub attaching to this PC >>

Just buy back another VS 2480, and save yourself and everyone else here all this misery and unnecessary waste of bandwidth. In the amount of time and energy you’ve spent on threads and posts ,wrapping yourself and everyone else around axels you had no intention of unwrapping yourself, any reasonably competent individual could have learned how to create and build SW and HW setups from the ground up, with certifications and the whole nine. You’re the kind of guy that could cause a two car pile up in an empty parking lot.
