... except I'm too damn old to get embarrassed about anything any more...

Can anyone recommend a really good nose hair trimmer?

One upon a time the hair grew upwards and outwards from my scalp. No more. Now all my hair seems to grow down and out my nostrils. It's a jungle in there!

I keep buying these cheap nose-hair trimmers from Amazon and they keep breaking after a few uses. I try using scissors but I don't see well enough (up close) to trim the little fukkers.

If it was just my appearance I was concerned with, I'd just fuggedaboudit and let my nostril hairs grow long, and look like a wooly mammoth. Or apply wax and make a groovy handlebar mustache out of it.

But the hairs curl up inside my nostrils and stab the sensitive lining of the nostril, causing constant irritation, with the result that I often find myself sticking my finger up there to scratch it. Which, of course, looks as if I'm digging for a booger in my nose.

Not that there's anything wrong with using your finger to scrape out the dried mucous in your nostrils. Our society deems it socially disturbing, but I'm convinced that's the reason we have fingernails. And fingers that are the perfect size to get in there. That's how important that airway is.

I use this one - it's a beard trimmer that has attachments for everything.

I'm at about 5 years now and it's still going strong. Rechargeable battery that lasts a loooooong time between charges. I don't foresee needing an upgrade for quite some time.

I just use a regular beard trimmer.

Didn't forget to hit your ears and eyebrows too!

Irish comedian Dave Allen once stated that he'd suddenly started being really hirsute below his shoulders.

Yes, an age thing, but he couldn't decide whether it was growing down from his neck or up from his arse....

I use a Wahl plug in beard trimmer. Mostly for when I have the winter beard, but also for the nether region and any unscrupulous ear, nose or neck hair. For eyebrows, I usually scissor trim those so I don’t accidentally make myself look like Syd Barret. But mostly I leave it to my hairdresser to touch up the eyebrows and she’ll occasionally, without warning, just shove the clippers up my nostrils is she sees some rogue hairs trying to escape.

The Wahl is powerful and still going strong for me for close to 20 years.

So, I have a little AA powered single purpose one...now.

It depends on how you like to shave. If you get up and shave with razor/foam...get a AA battery one, because how often do you have to use a nose hair trimmer? Recharagable batteries left in drawers are nearly always going to be dead when you go to use them...BUT...if you use an electric shaver--get a nice wireless rechargeable all in one. They HAVE improve that battery tech a LOT...it will be fine and easier to use than whatever plug in you might have...

But, honestly...rounded/nub ended little scissors is also the old school solution that's cheap.
