This one made me cry. I despised him as a player, but I loved the man. I will have to dig up the song I wrote about him, recorded an unplugged version from one of my big online concerts.
He was the spirit of baseball and I totally hate how Bart Giamatti kicked him out.
He was not a saint but I witnessed him take a team with no soul and bring them on guts alone to a World Series championship.

Ya ever play in sandlot against some guy that was so competitive he made everybody on both teams crazy? That was Pete. ha ha

So, I'm really desperate to find my recording of my Pete Rose song.
A few years ago my harddrive blew up. I paid a local computer firm to rescue it, they did but none of the files have names. I have to listen to up to 6,358 mp3 files to find it, it's in there somewhere, don't think I have the strength considering I'm also now working on 2 different videos.

They would have to change the rules because Rose doesn't have a lifetime ban, but rather a permanent ban.

I think that is such bullshit, especially after doping, not to mention the encouragement of sports betting and fantasy leagues ... it's complete bullshit.

Agree, Rose should be on the logo of MLB like Jerry West is for the NBA.
