Spotify and Apple and Tidal and Amazon need label sponsorship of an intermediary you pay to say they're your label.
That's a different thing than Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
If you want to offer downloads, Bandcamp is ideal. You can, in fact, download my full high resolution collection album from there...24/96...OR you can chose to download it as mp3 or whatever you want. I think it's nearly ideal for sharing finished products...which you can also put them up for sale...sell merch...connect with other artists, etc. I hope their recent buyout doesn't completely fuck it up.
But, for sharing here, I use Soundcloud because it's an easy embed and it doesn't confuse anyone following me on Bandcamp. They want to know when I have a new release...not when I'm hemming and hawing over whether my bridge is worthy of time spent...you know?
