Deeper Deeper Planeteer Registered: 08/28/01 Posts: 259 Loc: Too close to Nashville	Once here at the planet, once when my sick old darling pooped in my bed, and finally, when the pharmacy told me her insurance wasn't going to pay for her monthly cancer medicine and the price would be $943 instead of $29. Monthly. Through the end of the year. If she lives that long. The money from selling my Maag EQ hasn't even transferred to my bank yet, and it's already spent. October is not starting out well for me.

Have you appealed their decision? Is there an option to add coverage/change your plan? Speak to the doctors office and see if they have any ideas. Also, contact the hospital her physicians are connected with, ask for social services, and see if they can assist. I'm really sorry you're going through this. Whenever you speak about you or your wife not living long, it tears me up. Check to see if your wife’s medicine is on their list at the link below, and if so, you should apply for financial assistance. I have used them. They are legit. My sis was sick when I was a kid--my mother was ALWAYS on the phone with insurance trying to get them to cover what they're supposed to cover but just would deny as "first move". I can't imagine the situation where they are paying for a drug and then suddenly "no"...unless there's some RX cap for the year...but, certainly THAT can't apply to chemo...I mean... Now I understand why you are getting bent out of shape over the seat belt thing. It's not really about the seat belt thing. Let me know if there's something I can do.
