i know this is the 2490 forum but maybe someone can help. from my 2480, spdif out to my audiophile usb configured @ 44.1 24 bit, into wavelab 4.1. audio card set to 44.1 24 bit. recording parameters set to 44.1 24 bit. when i play back the recording it sounds like the chipmonks(twice as fast). the bit meters says 24 bit. i am really stumped. any ideas?

Is Wavelab set to the same bit-depth and sample-rate?

when the sound alters bny spped of playback (ie the chipmunk or slow motion effect) its always a samplerate clock issue. Set your audio card to external sync. If you have a wc input use that to lock the card to the 2480, otherwise spidif should do it.
