I'm trying to figure out how to effectively spend my not-so-hard-earned money, and would appreciate input.

This is my thought process, please tell me where I'm correct and/or wrong. I want to do as little as possible to recordings once printed. And I like to track as dry as possible, except for very mild compression to tame gross transient peaks. I've already gotten an RNP/RNC combination for that.

But in keeping with the philosophy of not fixing it in the mix, resonances essentially come from poor room acoustics/treatment and resonances are responsible for a lot of the EQ'ing that needs to be done during mixing, correct? As a po boy home recordist and one who plans to sell his house in the not-too-distant future, I'm not going to do special construction, etc, to try to make my "studio" (spare bedroom) sound beautiful. So I'm thinkin about getting a couple of these panels:

Wise purchase? Good way to spend my money before buying VS8F-3's, etc? I think so, wanted a confirmation or disagreement and added thoughts/opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Mutley, I'll check out the links. I actually have done some reading on the subject. I'm interested in first hand experience Planeteers may have had using panels such as those mentioned above and the like, how well that's remedied problematic resonances. I have some "home made" foam panels that I've been using, but they're only moderately effective, and thought adding something with greater absorption might be more beneficial.
