As I understand it, the plug-ins themselves are stored on your hard drive, then loaded onto the VS8F3 when selected. Which is to say that you can load different plugs onto different cards on a project by project basis. You do have to restore the plug-ins onto the hard drive after you reformat the drive.

We have 2 2480's (for 48 tracks) - can we purchase the plugins and load them on both 2480's if each has a VS8F-3 card? Is that legit to do or do we legally need to purchase plugins for each board (for that matter, what if we put 2 VS8F-3's in one 2480)?? Anyone know?

Any word on the arrival dates of the new plugins??!!
I've got both my new cards installed and they seem to be working fine. The Roland reverb sounds great, but I sure would like the rest of the new toys--especially the new T-Racks to finish my project...

I use the Antares Auto-Tune all the time and love it. You can do some weird and interesting things with it besides retune a flat or sharp vocal or instrument. The Preamp plugin that came with the card is pretty cool too. Having a blast.

That's right, after the VS8F-3 install the card will load your plugins on the last partition with the VS8F-3 program.
