There is nothing about that guitar that appeals to me.
I personally think that robot tuning is a dumb idea, but then I guess I was proved wrong. I'd never buy it personally though. For crying out loud - tune it, you know? Yikes.

i think the deal with the automatic tuning, is that you can do drop tunings, open tunings, all with one guitar, all instantly in tune... plus the acoustic sounds....
which would be a godsend for touring players who need to cover that kind of ground, but don't want to have 4 different guitars on stage for changeovers......

I think I understand the alternate tunings now ocurr within 1 second on the Dark Fire, whereas the original Robot took as much as 15 seconds, which is a long time if ur on stage. 
Also, since GuitarRig 3, Ableton Live, and the RIP (interface box) are bing sent with the DF, this will be a nice little intro for me on the PC, since I do absolutely no recording on the PC. As far as the specs on the PC, mine should be more than adequate to handle the music/recording apps.
