Has anything changed, in your SCSI configuration? Terminators? Cabling? Do you have an empty Orb disk? You might try formatting it, with the VS.
You’re using obsolete technology, so better have spares. Orb drives (and disks) aren’t as ubiquitous as —say— Zip or Jaz drives, but you should be able to source some backups and spares donors.
Be careful with your media, because if the fault lies with your drive, it might damage the media, thus rendering your songs irretrievable.
